We can’t talk about Netflix Original series without mentioning Black Mirror; the series that had the nation gripped when it landed and has done for 4 seasons since, this gripping drama is a real eye-opener.

A different angle to many thriller series, this sci-fi inspired drama looks at the near future as a technologically advanced yet corrupt reality which sees the best innovation clash with natural human instincts, creating a disturbing and distorted world.

A totally unique storyline to many other series, if you like to watch shows that you really have to focus on and think about, this could be a good watch for you.

  1. The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann

After years of having to make do with conspiracy theories on YouTube, Netflix took the missing person case that has had the world talking for 12 years and made an 8-part series all about the disappearance of Madeleine McCann.

Excitement reached new heights when this original series was announced to hit the UK version of Netflix in March and many people watched the whole thing within days of it being launched and the verdict? It’s pretty gripping.

It was never going to answer any questions as there’s no new information to be revealed in this series but with a whole host of recreated footage and interviews with key individuals, this series shines a light on what we know so far about this investigation and where it’s heading going forward, something a lot of people wanted to see.

If you’ve been following this case for the last 12 years, this is a series worth dedicating your time to.

  1. Dynasty

Two seasons based on an old school prime-time soap, Dynasty follows the feud between two families fighting it out to reclaim what’s rightfully theirs. A classic American production, there’s twists, turns and plenty of drama in this Netflix Original.

Netflix have really pulled it out the bag recently with their brand new selection of Originals programmes and films and the majority of them are seriously good watches but if we had to narrow it down to 10, these are the selection we’d recommend.
