2017 Wedding Shoot: Behind the Scenes
Another shoot, another day filled with antics. This wedding shoot was bigger on almost every scale this year. We took over Ardoch House for a couple days of pure bromance, laughter and hard work.
We were on location for two days and what a location it was. The shoot took place on the Bonnie, Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond (sorry couldn’t resist)! Despite the extremely chilly temperature, it made for an utterly stunning setting. Just check out that view…
We had a squad, or maybe clan of models this year with four main guys. Gareth, Jonny, Osh and Marlon were our chosen grooms, best men and guests. The guys were a pleasure to work with and made the days so much more enjoyable. The “bromantic” bonds were quickly formed and banter flowed easily throughout the day with the help of our photographer and videographer.
We also had some beautiful brides on location with us to really set the wedding scene. We had loads of fun of dressing them in fabulous gowns from local bridal suppliers. Many thanks to Eleganza Sposa, Anne Priscilla and Vintage Bridal Couture. Our ‘brides’ were also lucky enough to be the short-term owners of some dazzling diamond jewellery, courtesy of ROX. The male, models also benefited from the generosity of this diamond and watch specialist and were fortunate enough to spend the day sporting some serious wrist candy from lux brands Hublot, Bell & Ross and Bremont.
Each model was sourced to represent a particular collection. We had four key collections – heritage, bold, statement and classic. Each of the models pulled off the looks perfectly and made our vision come alive. Watch the video and discover which collection is for you.
As is traditional now for Slaters campaign shoots, we had the online and marketing team on location to make sure the day went smoothly (really to make sure the guys behaved themselves). Plus usual suspects, Gavin from Visual Aspect UK and David from Proud Motion capturing the images and video. On makeup duty we had Debbie Slater (Dib-dab-deb) and Claire Roddie-Aitken from Spotlight Makeup and newbie to the team Tom Ross who was on hand to make sure that every member of the wedding party had perfectly styled hair.
The shoot also consisted of a selection of hire-wear, which to the models amusement meant they had to get their kilts on. Now not everyone can pull off a kilt but the models look incredible in our selection of traditional wear.
Once again we had a fantastic time at the shoot and cannot thank everyone who was involved enough. All the hard work and very cold hands have all been worth it to be able to show off our new wedding collection at its best. Thanks for reading, please feel free to like, share or comment and keep up to date with all the Slaters news on Facebook, YouTube, Pinterest, Twitter & Instagram.
