Halloween is fast approaching so we’re going to share with you our top style tips for adding a subtle touch of the Halloween spirit to your outfit for the spooky season.
The best way to make your everyday outfits look a bit more Halloween ready is with the colours, so here are the top shades you should be sporting for a spookier style:
It isn’t just about the deep autumnal colours for Halloween, incorporating vibrant reds and mossy greens are a great way to incorporate a touch of seasonal fun.
Ties and pocket squares are the easiest way to add an accent of colour to an outfit without making too much of a statement. These low-cost items start at only £3 so are an affordable way to stock up your collection of accessories with seasonal pieces on hand whatever the time of year.
Socks are a great way to add a pop of personality to your outfit, especially if you want to add a touch of Halloween to your work wardrobe whilst still keeping it professional. Top tip – Try blue suit with tan shoes and a red pair of socks…POW!
If you’re not afraid of going a bit bolder then a shirt is a great way to give Halloween a nod while still managing to look smart. Shirts are slightly more of an investment piece so we’d recommend picking a colour that could be deemed “Halloween-ish” but will also be wearable for other events. We are never a fan of the one-wear-wonder at Slaters, always make sure to get bang for your buck when it comes to clothes and accessories.
Our range of Peter England shirts are the perfect choice if you want a keenly priced, colourful shirt.
Steal Their Look
Looking for a little outfit inspiration to help get your spooky style sorted? Here’s some of our favourite looks that feature a touch of Halloween flair:
Jon Chorley – A super cool Slaters’ customer
We love how the splash of orange from the tie and pocket square ‘Halloween up’ this classic navy check suit from Slaters, modelled by one of our seriously dapper customers, Mr Jon Chorley.
Bradley Cooper – seriously stylish American actor
We’re giving Bradley Cooper a 10/10 for this bold purple suit, a real statement that we think would be perfect workwear on October 31st.
It may not be quite as bold as Bradley’s attire but this plum three-piece suit from Santinelli is a good copy if you want to work the look!
Alfie Deyes, Jamie Oliver and Channing Tatum – The Orange Jacket Challenge
Nothing says Halloween quite like an orange velvet jacket and we love the support all these stylish celebs are offering to Help the Heroes on their newest campaign, ‘The Orange Jacket Challenge’.
Our new collection of velvet jackets aren’t quite as Halloween ready as these bright orange ones, but we still think the colours we have available could be the perfect finishing touch to any Halloween look.
