After careful consideration, much poll taking and copious amounts of focus group feedback… the team at Slaters have discovered that our customers ultimate style icon is none other than football legend Jamie Redknapp.
So in honour of this discovery we decided to take a moment to show you how to channel his aspirational style with some key pieces and a few handy tips from our in-house stylist. So without further ado, here are his top 3 looks and how you can recreate them.
So we begin with the dinner suit look – now let’s be honest, most men are not strolling down a red carpet, fighting through crowds of adoring fans while being papped every other day. So with this in mind you may not want to break the bank for these very occasional ‘black-tie’ occasions. This is when Slaters steps up to the plate. Now you may gasp in disbelief, you may think we are telling fibs but what you are about to read is, true, true, TRUE! We have managed to create a complete dinner suit look, including a suit, shirt, bowtie, cummerbund and pocket square for under £100. (Feel free to take a pause for this information to sink in, we know it’s astonishing). Not a believer…click right here.
Now we take a look at the classic navy suit, this simple style is guaranteed to always be in fashion and very easy to wear in the work place and to most events. The key is to keep it simple with a smart, well-fitting shirt and navy tie, if you want to stay on trend we recommend choosing a fashionable knitted tie from our new winter accessories range. Lastly, you can really appreciate the versatility of this suit and make it look totally different by switching from a light shirt to a dark shirt depending on the occasion.
Here we are enjoying his choice of styling a smart blazer with a contrast colour waistcoat. The colours Jamie has chosen are a subtle mixture of blue hues which is a great look, however you can play with this style in lots of different ways. Our model has been styled with a more punchy selection of colours and you can choose to tone it up or down, but bear in mind when you’re selecting accessories, our TOP TIP is to check out the lining of your blazer. The lining will always be a complimentary colour to the main fabric of the jacket so it’s a great place to start when building your outfit.
