LGBTQ+ Wedding Shoot, Behind The Scenes

Slaters is proud to introduce our new LGTBQ+ wedding campaign. Over the years, we have supplied suits and hirewear for gay, lesbian and Trans weddings. Here at Slaters everyone is welcome. We wanted to put this campaign together to show that our suits are for all, regardless of gender or orientation.

As this was the first time we’ve had an LGBTQ+ exclusive support shoot, a lot of time and planning went in to ensuring that the concept and images were as we hoped. The photoshoot came together perfectly thanks to everyone who was involved and we had a great a day too. Here is a little peek behind the scenes on our first ever LGBTQ+ wedding shoot.

These guys and gals were an absolute joy to work with and really made the shoot what it was. We had real life couples, a Trans model, friends and complete strangers come together to portray diverse couples in love. After all we believe love is for all and wanted to show this in our LGBTQ+ campaign.

All our models were fantastic to work with, we seriously cannot thank them enough! They all gave up their free time to be part of the day, you can see the effort they put in and the fun that was had really come through in the photos!

The morning of our shoot was spent outside at Glasgow Green, it was pretty cold but we did manage to get a few shots where peoples noses weren’t bright red! The majority of our shoot was spent in our favourite Gay club, Polo Lounge and surrounding venues.

The team at Polo allowed us free run of the Lounge, Club X and Delmonicas all of which served as killer backdrops for our shots. We love these clubs and if you haven’t been then get yourself down to Merchant City in Glasgow, they guarantee a night to remember!

We had our in-house photographer Ross on hand snapping away to get some super cool images. Ross worked with different kinds of lighting and backgrounds to get an eclectic mix of dramatic and more relaxed shots.

Lastly one of our main objectives was to have a fun day! We wanted the energy to be felt in the images and there was some undeniably great banter on the go. Some new friendships were even formed and it made the day a whole lot easier.
